Why me?

As a little person, you’d have found me most days on the landing stage at the foot of my garden, stick in hand, covered in mud—signs of a very good dig day. On this adventure, I was an archaeologist.

I had just unearthed a tiny piece of tile. To anyone else, it was nothing. But to me? A clue. Was it from a hidden passage in an old castle where adventurers plotted their escape? A pirate ship, wrecked in a storm, its treasure lost forever? A mystical land, where the tile held ancient symbols only I could decode? My mind ran wild, searching, feeling for the story, until I knew—it was from a midnight dig in Egypt, under a sacred moonlit sky, full of mystery and wonder.

In reality, it was probably a broken teacup from one of the boats that pootled up and down my stretch of the river—the river I called home. But that never mattered. The magic was in the finding, the story, the possibility.

That same curiosity, that playful wonder, has never left me. It’s not just a childhood memory—it’s how I live my life and guide others.

I was born on the banks of the Thames, and I’ve never strayed far from water. If I’m too far from it, I feel unmoored. The same goes for the moon and stars—I spent so much of my childhood looking up instead of down that life still feels like a galaxy walk.

I’ve always been drawn to the forgotten treasures of everyday life—not just in objects, but in people too. The moments we overlook, the small wonders hiding in plain sight, the stories waiting to be uncovered. I believe we are all stories unfolding. And just like that little girl on the riverbank, I still believe life is made of magical moments, waiting for alignment and gravity to meet each other. World renowned scientists call this Quantum Physics—but at five years old, I didn’t know I was onto something. I just knew I needed to keep digging.

Why me? Why now?
Because this is YOUR moment.

Because we are never truly stuck in the mud. We are simply in between fantastic.

And by digging we allow both science and magic to thrive.
