Don't Change - Shift

A Fresh perspective on a new Pisces Moon

Change for Good or to Up-Level, Transform, and Grow?

I had a long-awaited therapy session yesterday. I had put my sessions on hold—I needed a pause. I needed to see if I had truly embraced any of her insight and wisdom.

I needed to know. I really needed to know.

I am a busy-headed person who loves life with a huge heart. But I spend way too much time on you. And it turns out, it's my turn.

Eewww… Mmmmmm… TRICKY!

But—I must. If I want to grow, to transform, to up-level.

So, is there a better day in the world than today?

The Now vs. The Fear of Change

According to Eckhart Tolle, today is all we have. If I am to believe in The Power of Now, then resisting change is resisting reality itself.

And then there’s my favorite personal change agent, Wayne Dyer, who wisely said:

"If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at will change."

Mmmmmmmm-ing on that one for a moment…

So why do we—humans—find change so hard, while nature’s creatures, even our fur babies, simply adapt?

They don’t resist. They don’t fight the tide. They realign and move on with ease and grace.

The answer? It lies in the type of change we seek.

Is it a huge, dramatic, door-slamming moment? Or is it a subtle, whispering breeze?

Once I mastered that notion, I became a different human being.

Reframing Change: A Subtle Shift vs. A Forced Overhaul

Ask yourself this:

Who wants to be better?

Now ask:

Who wants to change?

See the difference?

That was my big aha moment.

If change was incremental, if it was subtle, if it didn’t feel so permanent and irreversible—perhaps we would move towards it more elegantly. (Well, in my case, let’s say more gracefully clumsy.)

Why ‘In Between Fantastic’ Had to Be Personal First

When I founded In Between Fantastic, it was all about me—my own journey. But within weeks, I flipped it and made it all about you.

Because isn’t that what we’re supposed to do when we start a business? Serve, support, and put others first?

Wrong.

In order to truly guide others, I had to master, tweak, fail, and grow through every notion of my offering.

I had to take it on the road, to the tip, to a first date, and even to my parents’ house for Sunday roast.

Why?

Because my ICP (Ideal Client Profile) isn’t just you—it’s you and me.

I didn’t want In Between Fantastic to be a trendy slogan that fades like the cheap jeans I wear for gardening.

I wanted it to: Stand the test of time: Feel easy: Be on the tip of your tongue

I wanted In Between Fantastic to be OK, every day—a way of being, not just a brand.

The True Measure of Growth

So, had I mastered any of my therapist’s wise words?

Turns out, I had.

I was tasked with being Emma. With knowing and owning my "In Between." And with accepting that my purpose and fantastic were not finish lines but daily journeys.

No big award. No trophy. No certificate. No standing ovation.

Just a simple nod of the head. A wry smile. A knowing.

And you know what?

That’s up-leveling, all on its own.

I am In Between every day. And I am also Fantastic.

But now, the high highs and the low lows? They’re subtle. They’re navigable. And they can be transformed—starting today.

It’s a PHAT.

And YOU ?

What’s your relationship with change?

Does it feel like a storm, or could it be a breeze?

Could shifting how you see change make it easier to embrace?

The answer, as always, is in the in-between.
